The walls lack adequate soundproofing!!! I could hear every word from neighboring rooms. The hotel layout is a confusing maze, making navigation a challenge, especially after a few drinks!!! Improvement in these areas would improve the overall experience.

Hotel Papa Whale is in a great location near Ximending, making late-night snacks easy to find. The staff offered excellent service, always ready to help. While the room felt a bit snug, the unique design and cleanliness made for a comfortable stay.

I had a great time wandering through the lively Ximending area just a short stroll from the hotel and soaking in the beautiful scenery at the nearby 2/28 Peace Park, which made my city walks even more enjoyable.

The location offered convenient access to shopping, and the bed provided excellent comfort, although noise from the hallway was bothersome. Breakfast lacked variety, which became tedious over time. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the vintage design of the room added a unique touch to the experience. Overall, a pleasant stay with room for improvement in some areas.

i stayed for 9 nights at hotel papa whale and loved the location, so close to the mrt and a few cool spots. the Wi-Fi was fast and stable, which was a lifesaver for me. the staff were great, especially when they helped me upgrade my room due to some issues in the basement.

The location of Hotel Papa Whale is a winner, right on the edge of Ximending. Easy access to the nightlife and MRT stations. The room, while small, had all the essentials and was kept clean daily. I appreciated the high-quality toiletries and the hotpot breakfast was quite unique, but a bit limited in selection. Staff were generally professional, but I encountered some issues with service, particularly at checkout. The bathroom layout could use some work, the translucent windows between the toilet and room felt awkward and not very private. Wi-Fi struggled a bit during my stay, which was frustrating. All in all, decent but not perfect.
